(ADOPTED) Meet Poppy!

Poppy, a Utah native, is a little lab, a little border collie, and a lot of sunshine! She is a joyful little pixie that's been fostered in a couple of homes, and we all love her happy tail, floppy ears, and need to please. She takes a few minutes to warm up to you, but when she does, she'll snuggle, put her head in your lap, and patiently be loved on. Poppy does really well hiking and walking, on and off leash. She has no problem being around school age kids, and gets along with other dogs. Poppy's very quiet, rarely barks, and has never bit or nipped in the time she's been in foster care. She's very well-behaved and crate and house-trained. Men make her a little nervous- she doesn't mind being around them, but prefers to have her space until she gets comfortable...She'll take a treat and smell your hands though! A professional trainer visited with her, and since she is excited by cats and chickens, we've been working with her to leave them alone, using a spray bottle and commanding voice, and these gentle efforts are working well. Poppy would be an excellent companion for a loving owner, she is so sweet and adoring. Her adoption fee is $150. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. I would love to see her go to a wonderful family who will shower her with affection and train her to be the great dog she is meant to be.
